Food-grade aerogels prepared from several bio-based materials. can be loaded to obtain delivery systems for food packaging applications. turn into oleogels by oil absorption within the pores. density, high surface area (>150 m 2 /g) porosity (typically 95–99.99 %). They obtained solvent removal gels while preserving network structure.
